The Boulder Distance Classic (formerly known as the Boulder Distance Carnival), also raised thousands of dollars for the Boulder Parks & Recreation EXPAND program and the Orphans of AIDS Trust Foundation. EXPAND helps Boulder County residents with disabilities gain skills that will enhance overall quality of life. The Orphans of AIDS Trust Foundation provides for care of children in South Africa who have been orphaned as a result of AIDS. Post-race events included a full buffet including tasty pizza from Naked Pizza, grilled brats and Avery microbrew, plus a raffle for prizes including shoes, backpacks, and free event entries for upcoming Boulder Running Company races later this year. Proceeds from the raffle also go to EXPAND, and Orphans of AIDS. Thanks for participating in the Boulder Distance Classic!
