EXPAND = EXciting Programs, Adventures and New Dimensions! The EXPAND program helps people with disabilities improve and gain new recreation and leisure skills that will enhance their overall well being and quality of life. EXPAND provides opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to participate in recreation and leisure programs within their community. What is the Orphans of AIDS Trust Foundation???
The Orphans of AIDS Trust Foundation (OATF) provides for the care of the children in South Africa , and the KawZulu-Natal region, orphaned as a result of AIDS. On a global level, so many lives have been broken by the AIDS tragedy – 8,000 people a day around the world die from AIDS-related illnesses. No country has been harder hit than South Africa , where 5,000,000 children and adults are living with the AIDS virus – more than 70% of the world's AIDS cases. The children of South Africa are the most innocent victims. Predictions are that by the year 2010, one-third of the children in South Africa (roughly 2,000,000) will be orphaned as a result of AIDS. The Orphans of AIDS Trust Fund gathers monies urgently needed to provide resources and support these growing numbers.
